Brewing your own beer is way simpler than it sounds and endlessly satisfying. In this class you'll brew a real 5-gallon batch of pale ale from start to finish — mashing grain, boiling the wort, adding hops, and pitching yeast. You'll understand what's happening at every step and have the knowledge to brew independently at home. The beer from this batch gets bottled and you pick yours up two weeks later.
- How beer is made — the complete brewing process from grain to glass
- Mashing, sparging, and lautering basics
- The boil and hop additions for bitterness and aroma
- Yeast health and fermentation management
- Sanitation — the most important skill in brewing
